Holiday Hours:
The Museum is closed on Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Easter Sunday. We are open from 11am-5pm on all other holidays.
FAQs
Yes, all of our skeletons and are real! Only a few specimens on display are replica, molded from a real skull. Replica pieces are labeled with a red dot.
No, we do not have dinosaurs on exhibit. At our museum, we focus on the skeletons of modern (extant) species.
We do not sell any food, but we have bottled water available for $2.99 in the Museum’s gift store.
With the exception of water, we do not allow any food or drink in the Museum.
Yes! We offer a discount for groups of 10 or more.

Not for individuals, or families. However, by scheduling your group visit with our Education Department ahead of time, you will be eligible for our discounted group rate. Our educators will help you select the best date and time for your group and answer any questions you may have regarding your visit. We have many educational add-ons available for your group including owl pellet dissections and educational programs.

Yes! We offer educational programs to students in Pre-K through 12th grade and college students and adults. Please click here to see a complete list of our programs.

Yes! Our museum educators will come to your school or other public institution to teach one of our many programs. Outreaches are all hands-on, and each program will include real bone specimens for students to examine.

Yes! We offer 4 levels of museum memberships. Members enjoy museum admission for 12 months, discounts on special museum events, private events and birthday parties, and discounts in our gift shop. Our memberships also make excellent gifts!

Yes! The Museum has a gift store which offers a variety of items to interest osteologists of all ages! We offer a wide array of educational items, teaching tools, books and various gift items. We are truly one-of-a-kind, and we’re sure you’ll find something you’ll love!

No! Feel free to stop in and shop at any time. The gift store is open during regular Museum hours, and visitors may shop without touring the Museum.

Absolutely not! We have a large parking lot and available parking in the rear to accommodate buses, motorcoaches and other oversized vehicles.
Absolutely! The Museum relies solely on general admission to educate and serve the public. Your donations help to make the Museum a better place, and we appreciate all contributions!

We offer sensory bags which include noise-canceling headphones, fidgets, and picture cards for feelings and needs (ask for one at the front desk). Our staff have also been trained in how to spot and assist with sensory overwhelm.
Yes! Thanks to Period OKC, we have both tampons and pads available to ourallof guests free of charge. You can find them in the stalls of our women’s restroom and they are available upon request at our front desk with no judgement or stigma! Guests are welcome to take as much as they need. They’re here for you!
We are thrilled that our guests love Sir Indiana Bones as much as we do and you can always ask! Indy sees many of his visitors, but he may not always be available. He is also a cat and does what he wants, not always what we would like him to do.
